Sajida* fled persecution and violence in Myanmar with her family. Hungry and scared, Sajida and her family made the dangerous journey for 10 days on foot and water to reach safety in Bangladesh. Now, safe in a refugee camp, Save the Children is helping Sajida recover from her experiences. She’s also learning to read and write has made new friends that she can play with and share her stories.

Across the camps in Bangladesh, thousands of children like Sajida are in urgent need of protection and help. Children are bearing the brunt of this crisis. Many have witnessed and experienced terrible violence – some have seen their loved ones killed or been injured themselves. These children need protection and psychosocial support to recover and access to basic life services including shelter, food and healthcare to survive.
